 Kerala is home to a host of rubber based industries.

Footwear Products : There  are  over 230  Footwear Products manufacturers. Almost 70% of  footwear  demands are met 
by them. The country's leading Rubber Footwear brands come from this region.

Tread Rubber : Over 260 tread rubber manufacturing units producing  both  conventional  and  modern precured tread are in Kerala.

Rubber Band : Kerala shelters a cluster of rubber band 
villages. There are around 80 units in Kerala. They  supply  bands  to  all  leading  markets in  India and abroad.

Rubber Foam Products : Over 70 units. Majority are established giants with huge production capacities.

Latex Thread : Kerala  produce  both  ordinary  and  Heat
Resistant Rubber Threads. There are over 30 units. Joint venture firms are exporting thread to Europe and East Asia.

Textile Fabrics : High quality rubberised fabrics, Mattings and 
sheeting are  already  popular  in domestic as well as 
international markets. Kerala has successfully entered 
into this area too.

Hoses, Belts and Auto Rubber Parts : Kerala is also manufacturing a variety of products in these categories. 
With  immense  production  capacities  and  increasing 
markets around the world.
